The Board of Education recognizes the importance of both healthy eating and physical fitness. To that end the district’s Wellness Policy expresses the community’s commitment to providing the following:

• -Access to healthy school meals
• -Nutrition education
• -Opportunities for active physical activities during and after school
• -Community input to a comprehensive Wellness Policy

Families are encouraged to review the newly updated Local Wellness Policy, make health and wellness a topic of family discussion, and encourage full participation in the district’s wellness initiatives.
